Mozilla Firefox memory leak problem is a general problem for all Mozilla users. It is inevitable but it can be reduced by making the following solutions. Because these are the steps that I had taken.
First step is by create a new Boolean from M3nghua
1. Type about:config in Firefox address bar.
2. Right click in the page and select New > Boolean.
3. Type config.trim_on_minimize in the pop up box. Press Enter.
4. Select True and then press Enter.
Conclusion : This step is to help you reduce your Mozilla when you MINIMIZE it.
Next step will be editing session history from hongkiat
1. Type about:config in the Firefox address bar
2. Search for browser.sessionhistory.max_entries
3. Double click the value 50, change it to lower than 5.
Conclusion : It will slightly reduce your Mozilla usage.
besides that you can edit the total pages stored
1. Type about:config in the Firefox address bar
2. Search browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers
3. Put a positive Integer. Example : 1, 2, 3
Conclusion : It limits the maximum number of pages stored in memory.
Last step is to find your cache, the default cache size will be 50MB. Reduce it to values that is lower than 32MB.
When you are done with the configurations, restart your Firefox.
